Guru & Managing Director.
Mrs. Kousalya Nivas is an engineering postgraduate - completed her B.Tech in Information Technology in Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore in 2008 and M.Tech in Computer Networks & Engineering in CMRIT, Bangalore with University topper award in July 2014. She started her career as a Software engineer at Wipro and to pursue her passion - teaching, she switched to working as a Lecturer in CMRIT, Bangalore.
Her vision is to spread this beautiful art and pass on the varied culture and its glorious heritage to the young and upcoming generations. She has dedicated herself to this vision and had started her own dance institute M.S.Natyalaya in Marathahalli, Bangalore in 2012 wherein she currently trains more than 120 students. Mrs. Kousalya Nivas hopes that as she strives towards greater excellence in dancing, her passion for Bharata Natyam and other forms of art will endow her with courage to break boundaries and widen her horizons in all avenues of life.
Kousalya acknowledges her sincere thanks to her Gurus for their expert guidance, her parents & in-laws who have identified and greatly encouraged her in making her dreams a reality. Most of all, she greatly appreciates her husband and kids, without whose cooperation and support, pursuing her passion & running this institute would have been impossible.

Mr. Nivas Venkataramanan is an engineering graduate and works for an MNC and also manages the institute. He founded M.S.Natyalaya with an intent to promote Bharatanatyam and preserve the art's heritage. His focus is on quality, discipline and excellence and he ensures the institute and students always manifest them. His dream is to develop the institute into one of the top Arts Academy for Classical Dance and Music.
To do his part for the great art-form, he established M.S.Natyalaya effectively utilizing his wife's Bharathanatyam talents, which in-turn helps spread the core values and principles to the younger generations who can nurture it further. He is also good in performing yoga asanas and practices it during his free time.

Dhatchayani started her career after her B.Com graduation in 1986 as Secretary in Corporate Training & Planning Department, Central Institute of Plastic Engineering Technology, Guindy, Chennai.
Since the age of 14, she had learnt violin under Guru Srinivasan Iyer, Chennai and is now a proven Violinist. She has also been trained in Nattuvangam for 2 years. Since January, 2014, with further training from M.S.Natyalaya Guru Kousalya Nivas, she is now a teacher for Bharathanatyam theory and also our incharge of Institute Administration. She is also the point of contact for any information, issues or concerns related the day to day activities in the Institute.
